Student Program

All Full-time Students

The Student Program is made up of all full-time students registered to attend the conference. This includes those who have registered with a “Student” registration as well as those full-time students that have registered as Poster Presenters, Speakers, or Volunteers.

Opportunity

The Student Program has both social and content events that are student-focused, but we feel that the primary value of the CppCon experience to students is the unparalleled opportunity to engage with professional programmers from across all industries that use C++, as well as interact with recruiters present at the conference to learn more about internships and employment.

Social Events

Student Program members are invited to join the #students Discord channel, as well as attend the Students’ Dinner, where students have the opportunity to engage with mentors and other students.  Although we want students to engage with non-student attendees, we do want to introduce students to other students to provide opportunities for networking and supporting each other.

Content Events

We also feature a small number number of content events that are sponsored by the Student Program which focus on areas such as developing résumés, preparing presentations, and interviewing.  Although sponsored by the Student Program, these content sessions are open to all CppCon attendees.

Registration

Individuals are invited to register at the discounted “Student” registration rate if they are full-time students at the time that they register, or will be full-time students at the time of the conference.  (In other words, please feel free to use “Student” registration even if you plan to graduate before the start of the conference).  Students who serve as Poster Presenters, Speakers, or Volunteers, are also encouraged to register with “Student” status so as to be included in Student Program events.
