Student Program

All Full-time Students

The Student Program is made up of all full-time students registered to attend the conference. This includes those who have registered with a “Student” registration as well as those full-time students that have registered as Poster Presenters, Speakers, or Volunteers.

Opportunity

The Student Program has both social and content events that are student-focused, but we feel that the value of the CppCon experience to students is the unparalleled opportunity to engage with professional programmers from across all industries that use C++, so we minimize student-focused activities to provide for maximal engagement with other CppCon attendees.

Social Events

Student Program members are invited to the #students Slack channel as well as the Students’ Dinner and Students’ Reception, where students have the opportunity to engage with other students and mentors. Although we want students to engage with non-student attendees, we do want to introduced students to other students to provide opportunities for networking and supporting each other.

Content Events

We also feature a small number number of content events that are sponsored by the Student Program which focus on areas such as developing résumés and interviewing. Although sponsored by the Student Program, these content sessions are open to all CppCon attendees.

Registration

Individuals are invited to register using the “Student” registration if they are full-time students at the time that they register or will be full-time students at the time of the conference. (In other words, please feel free to use “Student” registration even if you plan to graduate before the start of the conference.)
